Women’s Wisdom

5 years after my second childbirth followed by some pelvic floor exercises, I felt challenged to stay in control of my pelvic floor especially at the end of the day when exercising. My physio confirmed everything was normal, and advised some squeezing exercises.

I was looking for more, and met Marie who taught me how my breathing and routine could work for or against me. She helped me connect my breath with my organs and understand how everything is connected and needs to work in harmony. We identified together ways to incorporate tiny changes in my daily life, instead of trying to add exercises on top of an already busy life. She explained the science behind it so I understand the why and see the point of doing the exercises.

Now, I have new ‘automatisms’ in place and trust my body more when jumping, running etc.

I used to see my pelvic floor as some sort of isolated and disconnected part of my body, now I see it as part of a network of organs and a vital part of my body. I feel empowered.
